A recent report has shown that the mobile communications and broadband provider, 3, has signed up the company Target Components to distribute its 3G starter kits in the UK. As part of the deal Target Components will be providing dongles that have 3 mobile broadband credit already loaded on to them.
The data shows that the typical 12GB starter kit from Target, which has been pre-loaded with 3 mobile broadband credit, will allow users to enjoy one hundred and twenty hours worth of surfing time, over three hundred and eighty four-minute music clips, sixty four-minute video clips, and around twelve thousand emails.
The starter kits will be valid for a one year period, and according to reports consumers will be able to purchase further credit once the initial credit has been used up. Target Components will be offering starter kits bundled with laptops, and the distributor will also be stocking wireless routers, according to reports.
One official from Target said that the company had been hoping to get involved with mobile broadband, so the deal with 3 was good news. She said: “We have seen a massive growth in laptop and netbook sales,” she said. ” Customers have been asking us for mobile broadband products.”
Another official from the firm said: “Part of my objective is to deliver what our resellers need to stay competitive, adding value by delivering the latest opportunities via Target. This agreement yet again cements the confidence of vendors and is just one of a number we have been recently negotiating with, with more to be announced over the coming months, further supporting our customers new and old.”
