Mobile broadband providers keen to stock Apple iTablet
Recent reports have suggested that a number of major mobile broadband providers are keen to stock the up and coming Apple iTablet.
In the world of technology the soon to launch Apple iTablet has been causing a real buzz, and a number of reports have suggested that many mobile broadband providers have expressed interest in stocking the device, with some planning to use it to form part of a bundle with their mobile broadband packages. Apple is now said to be in talks with mobile broadband providers with regards to stocking the iTablets.
Reports have claimed that Apple is not looking to offer the device on an exclusive basis to one particular mobile broadband provider in the same way that it did with the iPhone when it was first launched. The UK could therefore see the iTablet being made available from a number of operators as part of mobile broadband packages, which will give consumers greater choice.
One report claimed that Apple was in discussions with Orange with regards to the device and that there was also interest from rival mobile broadband providers Vodafone and O2 – the three mobile network providers that now stock the Apple iPhone. The report stated: “The device has created a buzz among mobile phone operators not seen since Apple pitted several networks against each other in the race for the exclusive British rights to sell the iPhone in 2007.”
It is rumoured that the device will be launched in the United States in March of this year, and will come to the UK later on in the year although there has been no confirmation from Apple as yet. It is thought that Apple will be unveiling its new offering on 27th January.
