A recent report has revealed that many people are now using mobile broadband to get online, with some using this as their sole method of accessing the Internet.

Over recent years, mobile broadband and Internet services have become more and more popular amongst consumers in the UK. Both casual and business users have been benefitting from mobile broadband, enjoying the convenience, ease, and flexibility that this technology offers in terms of enabling them to get online whilst on the move.

A recent report has shown that there are now many people that are using mobile broadband services to access online services, with many now using mobile broadband as their sole method of getting online. The research was carried out by the UK’s communications regulator Ofcom and showed that seventeen percent of UK households are now using mobile broadband to access online services. The survey results also showed that around seven percent of UK households are using mobile broadband as their sole means of getting online.

For many people the ability to get online using their mobile broadband service is dependent on the speed and coverage that is available, and those using mobile broadband to get online regularly are often those that have excellent coverage and higher speeds with their mobile broadband network.

Ofcom has advised that anyone interested in signing up to mobile broadband so that they too can enjoy the benefits of getting online using a mobile service should make sure that they check factors such as the mobile broadband speed and the coverage levels from a provider before they commit to a regular service.

Do you use your mobile broadband as your sole means of getting online?
