Communications giant Orange has announced that it will be offering HP laptops with Orange broadband services, with a choice of laptops.

The offer of a free laptop with broadband services and mobile broadband packages has become a commonplace offer over recent months, with many providers offering a variety of laptop makes and models with different broadband deals and packages. Orange has now announced that it is offering a range of HP laptops along with its broadband services, having signed a partnership with HP.

The Orange deal with HP is a three year deal, and as a result of this contract Orange will now be offering a range of mini netbooks and notebooks with both fixed and mobile broadband packages taken out by customers in the UK. In addition to this the offer will also be extended to qualifying customers in a number of other European countries, which includes Austria, Belgium, and Portugal.

The Compaq Mini 700 is a model that is already available with the Orange mobile broadband package, and comes along with a free dongle, and 3 GB of usage for the cost of thirty pounds per month. Orange has confirmed that a greater number of models will be made available in due course, so customers will be able to enjoy a choice of models with their broadband package.

Olaf Swantee, SEVP of Orange’s communications services, said: “The demand for mobile broadband is a global phenomenon. Adding a select range of HP Notebooks and Minis to our successful portfolio of connected offers is just the kick-off phase.” Orange has also said that the global demand for mobile broadband services has seen its customer base rise by 81 percent last September compared to September of 2007.
