Discount for students looking for cheap mobile broadband
Students that sign up to a NatWest bank account can now enjoy a discount off mobile broadband with 3, enabling them to get the service for just five pounds a month.
Students that decide to open a bank account with NatWest can now enjoy getting cheaper mobile broadband, as the bank is offering new student accountholders fifty pounds off a new mobile broadband connection with the provider 3 when they open their account. This will enable students to take advantage of cheap mobile broadband, and they can still take advantage of additional offers that may be available from the provider.
Students that take up the NatWest offer will still be able to take up on additional offers from the provider, such as a free dongle, which is offered to most customers. 3 also offers a discount of fifty percent to existing customers that sign up to a contract for eighteen or twenty four months, and this means that some students may be able to get the cheapest package for only five pounds a month.
An official from the bank said that the student package had “evolved in response to what students have told us really matters to them” adding that the package provided “the additional support they may need at this new and exciting time in their lives”. Students that want to sign up to the offer will have to open an account at the bank before the end of October.
One industry official said: “This is a really great offer, giving students a head-start on all the things they need to keep in touch and stay online at university. However, as the download allowances on mobile broadband packages are not very high – 3’s plans come with 1GB, 3GB or 7GB a month – students need to be careful about how much they’re downloading to ensure that they don’t end up with high bills at the end of the month after exceeding their limit.”
