New Wi-Fi services to be offered to passengers in Heathrows SkyTeam lounge
Heathrow airport has announce that it is now offering Wi-Fi broadband network access to all passengers using its Heathrow SkyTeam lounge, with full access to the internet and VoIP services available.
The Heathrow SkyTeam lounge is located in Terminal Four and this new development will be using BT as its Wi-Fi broadband service provider.
The new Wi-Fi service has been introduced to allow passengers who use the lounge to continue working or accessing the internet while they wait for their flights to arrive, and with the added services like VoIP access it is believed that a huge proportion of passengers would find highly beneficial.
Staff from the Skyteam Heathrow Airport team said that customers who use this premium lounge are offered an experience that is designed to meet their individual requirements and the introduction of the complimentary Wi-Fi broadband access allows them to remain online while they wait for their flight to arrive.
With business users becoming increasingly reliant on being able to access the internet wherever they are the free Wi-Fi, internet applications and VoIP services that are offered here show just how important broadband access is starting to become.
In order to provide business users with a relaxed business area that will allow them to continue their work for the duration of their visit SkyTeam has created a lounge environment that will allow them fast and convenient access to the internet and VoIP services.
This latest development by BT comes as it announces that is will be spending around £1.5 billion on developing a broadband network throughout the country using the latest next-generation technology that will provide more homes with super-fast broadband access. This will include Fibre-optic broadband services, advanced mobile broadband access using either LTE or WiMAX technology and satellite broadband services.
