BT to offer firms in Milton Keynes free broadband trial
BT Broadband is one of the firms that has been particularly busy with rolling out fibre technology the past few months. It was reported recently that the firm was to launch 178 more exchanges as part of its £2.5 billion fibre deployment programme. The provider had previously announced that they would complete deployment by 2014, providing two-thirds of the UK with superfast broadband connections.
Now firms in Milton Keynes will be pleased to hear that the broadband giant is offering free trials to businesses in the area. Firms will be able to have access to the “fastest superfast broadband in the UK” through the trial.
Firms who are served by the Bradwell Abbey exchange are being called on to try out the latest Fibre-to-the-Premises technology that BT has announced earlier. Other exchanges that are included in the FTTP rollout include the following: Ashford, Chester South, Exeter, Forest Hill, Highams Park, Ilford Central, Leytonstone, St Austell and York.
Businesses and establishments located with Kents Hill, Loughton, Middelton, Monkston, Monkston Park, Shenley Lodge, Walnut Tree, Walton Park, Willen, Woolstones, Woughton on the Green, and Broughton, which is west of Broughton Brook will be asked to participate in the trial.
Interested firms can sign up via a link on BT Broadnband’s website. The registration period will end on March 5 and the trial will be closed by June 5th.
John Weaver, BT’s South East regional director, said: “Milton Keynes is at the cutting edge of BT’s roll-out of faster broadband.”
