Telecoms provider BT has recently promised to provide faster, higher quality broadband to a number of areas in the North West of England including Penrith, Allerton, Middlewich and Kirkham.

Residents and businesses situated in various parts of the North West have recently received some good news when it comes to their broadband. Communications giant BT has pledged to provide a better, faster, more reliable broadband service in many parts of the North West including Allerton, Kirkham, Middlewich, Penrith, and a variety of other exchanges in the area.

For businesses and residents in the area, and around the country, having access to a more reliable and faster broadband service is essential, so the news from BT has been widely welcomed. A number of exchanges are to be upgraded so that residents and businesses will be able to enjoy the benefits.

Twenty communities within the region are set to benefit from better broadband services as a result of the upgrades, which are considered to be part of BT’s 21CN programme. At present the goal is to have the process completed by spring of next year.

Mike Blackburn from BT said that the measures would give consumers in the area confidence and would allow businesses to boost their chances of success. He said: “This latest major investment in next generation broadband represents a huge BT vote of confidence in the future of the North West. It will help ensure that businesses and households in the region are in a strong position to thrive. Faster broadband can help businesses become more competitive and greatly improve the on-line services available to households.”
