According to the Prime Minister, David Cameron, UK tourism will benefit greatly from the availability of high speed broadband and internet in the country.

There are many benefits to having high speed broadband in the UK, and this includes benefits to residents as well as to businesses, which can take advantage of a far greater number of applications and services as a result of having better broadband speeds. The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has recently suggested that there are other areas that can also benefit from high speed broadband.

The Prime Minister said that it was not just people living and working in the UK that would be able to benefit from high speed broadband, but also those that were visiting the country. He was speaking at an event centred around tourism last week in Central London.

In his speech Mr Cameron highlighted the importance of being able to provide visitors to the UK with high speed broadband access, stating that this was vital to help boost tourism. He said that visitors wanted to be able to enjoy access to fast and reliable broadband.

Cameron said that he wanted to focus on a number of different areas that would have a big impact on tourism “from the speed of our broadband to the speed of our railways to the time it takes to clear customs at Heathrow”. He also said that he wanted to make it easier for those overseas to access the online application forms that were required to visit or work in the UK.
