It has been revealed that many broadband users in the UK have no interest in the speed of their service, and are only interested in ensuring that it works.

For many people the speed of connection is a major issue when it comes to deciding on a suitable broadband package, and there are certain users to whom the speed of their service is vital. However, not everyone is bothered about the speed of their connection, as has been shown in a recent survey.

The survey was commissioned by Sky Broadband and was carried out by YouGov. A number of broadband users in the UK were polled as part of the survey, and they were asked what they thought about their broadband service. With regards to speed a massive forty four percent said that they didn’t know or didn’t care how fast their broadband connection was as long as their broadband service was working.

Only fourteen percent of those polled said that they were interested in faster connection speeds according to the survey results. Around six percent said that speed was the only important factor to them when it came to their broadband service. Thirty one percent of those polled said that they were more interested in getting bundled services such as broadband and phone than they were in speed.

The survey also revealed that sixty four percent of users were looking for totally unlimited broadband without any sort of usage caps in place. Finally the survey also revealed that ninety percent of those polled used their broadband at home on a daily basis.
