According to a broadband industry group this year could be the year of the smart phone, with a rising number of people embracing the benefits of smart phones. Smart phones have become increasingly popular amongst both business and casual users, and these devices have quickly become a dominant force in the mobile phone market.

Whilst the most well known smart phone for many people is the Apple iPhone, which dominated the market for some time, there are now many other similar devices on the market, which have been released by a number of different manufacturers. The choice of smart phone makes and models means that there is something to suit a wide range of needs these days, and consumers are able to find a smart phone that is well suited to their needs as well as their budget.

HTC is one of the manufacturers that has released a number of smart phones over the past year, and the devices that have come onto the market have created far more competition, which has enabled consumers to look at more affordable or suitable alternatives to the Apple iPhone.

A number of recent reports have shown how smart phones have become more and more popular with a wide range of users, and for many providers the sale and use of smart phones has helped to increase business and associated revenue enormously.
