One industry group has recently pointed out that superfast broadband could provide a real boost to retail businesses in the UK.

The server hosting provider UKFast has said that the Internet could become a leading retail platform in the UK once superfast broadband has been rolled out. The director of UKFast, Jonathan Bowers, said businesses could really reap the rewards of this rollout.

He said that this technology was crucial in terms of allowing businesses to both run and access high performance websites. For businesses the rollout of superfast broadband will also provide many opportunities and benefits that would otherwise be missed, and could help to improve the success of many of these retails businesses enormously.

Bower said that the rollout of superfast broadband would make a big difference to retail businesses in the UK. He said: “A combination of super-fast broadband and speed of delivery from businesses is definitely going to make a big difference, and can probably make the internet the biggest retail platform in the UK.”
