Superfast broadband needed for flexible working
An expert has recently stated that in order for workers to take advantage of the flexible working that many businesses are offering, access to a superfast broadband connection is necessary.

Over the past few years the difficult financial and economic climate has forced many businesses to look at their operations structure, and many have come to the conclusion that they could benefit from offering more flexible working to their employees. This is something that can benefit the businesses, in terms of maintaining long serving and experienced employees and benefitting from employees being able to work more anti-social hours if necessary, and can also benefit the workers, who will find it easier to fit work around other commitments such as family commitments.
However, one expert has pointed out that in order for workers to take advantage of the flexible working options that some employers are now offering it is necessary for them to have access to a superfast broadband connection so that they can do everything that they need to do whilst working from home, otherwise the flexible working option would prove ineffective for the business.
John Drover, from the Executive Office Group, said that superfast broadband in the home was becoming increasingly essential as more and more businesses adopted flexible working and a rising number of employees developed an interest in this method of working. He said: “Having a fast enough home broadband connection is more critical than ever if people are going to be able to take advantage of the benefits of flexible working.”
Are you able to benefit from flexible working due to your superfast broadband connection?
