Small businesses in the UK could make better use of the Internet
It has been claimed in a recent report that many small businesses in the UK could make better use of the Internet in order to try and boost their income.

Many businesses these days have become reliant on broadband and for some businesses having broadband is crucial to their success and productivity. More and more businesses are using broadband services these days. However, whilst a huge number of businesses are keen to see faster broadband speeds because of the way in which broadband can help their business there are also many businesses that do not appear to be making the most of their broadband.
One recent report has stated that small businesses in the UK could be making far better use of their Internet access in order to boost their income and improve their levels of success. According to the results of research small firms in the UK make more than £36 billion a year through web related revenue. However, it is claimed that this figure could be much higher of more small businesses made proper use of the web in order to optimise on their returns.
The research found that surprisingly around forty six percent of small businesses were not making any money at all online, and over one third did not invest in any internet related tools to help them to make money off the Internet.
One official said: “With broadband connectivity improving steadily across the country and more consumers moving online to meet their commercial needs, it’s crucial that businesses make sure that they grab their share of the market.”
Do you think small businesses are missing out on business by failing to make the most of the Internet?
