A recent report has indicated that many smaller businesses in the UK have found that having access to Internet and broadband services is making it easier to succeed on the road to economic recovery following the recession.

There is no doubt that many businesses in the UK have suffered hugely as a result of the global financial crisis and the recession, which have really taken their toll on the economy and businesses. Smaller businesses in particular have experienced huge difficulties due to these problems, and many are struggling to get back on track now that the recession is over.

However, a recent report has indicated that many smaller businesses in the UK have access to resources that are helping them on the road to economic recovery, and these resources come in the form of Internet and broadband services. Small businesses have described the Internet as a lifeline for them, stating that having broadband and internet access is making it easier for them to get back on track than after previous recessions.

A report was released earlier this month by the Internet provider, Easynet Connect, and the figures showed that a massive seventy nine percent of small businesses that were polled had found that having Internet and broadband access had made recovery far easier and faster than it otherwise would have been.

An official from Easynet Connect described the general feeling amongst smaller businesses to be one of combined caution and optimism. He said that businesses would continue to embrace advanced technology that could make life easier for them, stating: “The predominant sentiment among small to medium-sized firms seems to be one of ‘cautious optimism’. Earlier this year we found that 2010 would be the year SMEs embraced cloud computing.
