Report into online festive shopping trends amongst consumers
A recent report has highlighted trends amongst Christmas shoppers who go online to get their gifts, showing that some even shop for gifts on Christmas Day.

With easy access to broadband, online shopping has become run of the mill for many people, and some no longer even go out to get their groceries, preferring instead to order them from the privacy and comfort of their own home and have them delivered to the door. It seems that many broadband users are also keen on doing their Christmas shopping online, with some even waiting until Christmas Day according to a recent report.
Research was carried out by Sky Broadband, and showed that around fourteen percent of Brits wait until Christmas Day before they buy their gifts online. The figures showed that around forty percent of Brits will be buying all of their Christmas gifts online, and thirty two percent will be buying some of their gifts online and some in High Street stores.
Seventy two percent of consumers said that they found it easier to browse and compare different items using the Internet, with sixty three percent believing that there are more bargains available online, and sixty two percent stating that they find it quicker to do their shopping online. Twenty one percent said that they would buy second hand gifts online, and thirty percent will use the Internet to sell unwanted gifts that they receive.
An official from Sky said: “We might have expected that people go online to snap up bargains in the Christmas Day sales, but few might have believed that people are prepared to wait so long to buy presents. It just goes to show that money is going to be tighter than ever this year, and savvy online shoppers are prepared to explore every means possible to get the right gift.”
