Recession and broadband access could make career dreams come true
Many people have dreamed of being able to work from home over the years, but the security of their normal jobs may have put them off from taking the plunge. However, according to a recent report a combination of the recession and easy broadband access could mean that some peoples’ career dreams of working from home will now come true.
Many people will know the feeling of not wanting to get up for work and face the heavy traffic on the roads in order to get to work each day. This, along with a variety of other reasons such as increased flexibility, has resulted in many people wanting to work from home over the years. However, for those with a secure job the risk has been too high and has put many off from taking the plunge.
However, according to a recent report the working from home career dreams of many people could now start to come true as a result of a combination of the ongoing recession and easy access to broadband services. With the recession still gripping the nation more and more people have lost the security that went with their jobs, and some have already lost the jobs that they thought were once secure.
However, what people do have is easy and affordable access to broadband services, with a wide range of broadband providers offering various deals to suit all needs and pockets. This could result in more and more people deciding to take the plunge and work from home, especially given the lack of security that many now have when it comes to their regular jobs.
One industry official has predicted that by 2015 around one in every five people of working age will be working from home, adding that even when the economy recovers and the recession passes there is likely to be an increase in the number of home start up businesses.
