PC Advisor broadband provider results revealed
PC Advisor has recently released the results of its top 20 broadband providers based on a poll of over four thousand respondents.
For the majority of consumers there are a number of factors that make up the ideal Internet Service Provider for their broadband access. Of course, most people see the price of the service as one of the most important factors, but there are also other things that are – and should be – taken into account in order to determine which is the best ISP.
PC Advisor has recently conducted a survey and using responses from over four thousand respondents has compiled a table of the top twenty ISP providers. The survey focused on different areas of ISPs, such as price, reliability, and service, and each area was given points out of five based on consumer response.
Overall satisfaction levels, average download speeds, and overall value for money were also scored out of five, and then the overall score based on all of these areas determined which ISPs came out on top and which did not do so well. The results for this year showed that O2 came out on top, scoring 4.5 out of 5 in the overall score.
This was closely followed by a handful of ISPs, each of which scored 4.3 out of 5, and these were Be, Plusnet, and Zen. Virgin scored 3.6 out of 5, which was slightly higher than its arch rival BT, which came in at 3.5. Sky beat both of its rivals, with a score of 3.9 out of 5. Talk Talk managed to score 3.7 out of 5, whilst Madasafish managed to keep a level pegging with Sky at 3,9.
Those at the lower end of the table included Kinston, which scored 2.8 out of 5, AOL, which scored 3, Orange, which scored 3.1, and Supanet, which also scored 3.
