Now that the Apple iPad is available for pre-order, following a delay of a month due to high demand in the United States, UK network and broadband provider Orange has announced the 3G data plans that will be available for consumers.

Many people have been eagerly awaiting the Apple iPad, but have had to put up with a month delay as a result of the high demand for the device across the pond in the United States. However, the iPad is now available for pre-order, and one network and broadband provider, Orange, has released details of the iPad plans that it will be offering to consumers that plan to get their hands on this gadget.

Under the Orange plans consumers will be able to enjoy a day’s browsing that is valid until midnight, with a cap of 200MB for just £2. A week’s browsing will cost £7.50 and is capped at 1GB. For those prepared to pay a little more for a more comprehensive package there is the iPad Monthly 15 plan, which costs fifteen pounds per month, and offers 3GB of mobile data.

The fifteen pounds plan also comes with 750MB of WiFi access, which comes through BT Openzone hotspots. There is also a plan for twenty five pounds a month, which is called the iPad Monthly 25, and this offers 10GB of data along with 750MB of WiFi access. It is thought that other mobile network providers, such as Vodafone and O2, will soon be announcing their own prices and plans for the eagerly awaited iPad.

The Apple website has also outlined its pricing for the device, with the 16GB model costing just short of four hundred and thirty pounds according to the site. The 32GB model will cost consumers just under five hundred pounds, and the 64GB model will knock consumers back just under seven hundred pounds.
