New 24Mbps broadband package to be released by IDNet

An announcement of the launch of a new 24Mbps broadband package has been made by broadband operator IDNet as it works to keep up with the other major service providers that are currently offering customers this type of service.

Following close behind a number of existing major providers offering super fast broadband connections, a new 24Mbps high-speed broadband package with enhanced monthly data limits has been released by the Internet service provider, IDNet.

The broadband provider will also be offering enhanced upload performance that offers speed of as much as 1.4Mbps on top of its high speed broadband connection, although all of these speeds, like other similar providers, hinge on proximity to the nearest telephone exchange and the quality of the line they are using to access their broadband.

The new service offers users much lower levels of latency on their connection and more bandwidth at no extra cost each month, and these enhancements to network performance are due to the ADSL2+ technology it is using to provide its broadband service.

Users of this new ADSL2+ broadband service will also be able to download and access far more media rich content like films, videos and music files and will also be able to stream these files now that some of the connections IDNet are offering have had their off-peak limits extended and the peak data limits have been doubled in size.

A single fee of £12.65 will be charged by BT for any user who decides to upgrade their connection, although any users who pay for their connection service annually will have this cost waived by IDNet.

Originally focusing on the small business and home office users in the UK and the provision of high-speed broadband services, IDNet have now moved over to providing similar services to residential customers as it looks to expand its customer subscription base.
