More than ninety percent of Brits would not give up broadband
Although money is tight for many households in the UK a recent poll has found that more than ninety percent of Brits would not give up their broadband connection in order to save money.
Over recent years money has been tight for many households in the UK, with the global credit crisis and the recession taking their toll on consumers and leaving many people struggling to make ends meet when it comes to their finances. As a result of this many households in the UK have been looking for ways to cut back on their outgoings and save money.
However, it appears that households are only willing to go so far when it comes to saving money, with a recent poll revealing that over ninety percent of consumers in the UK would not be willing to give up their broadband connection in order to save money on their outgoings.
The survey was carried out by the Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank, and showed that just over ninety three percent of Brits would not give up their broadband in order to save money. Officials from the banks said that this indicated that over ten million consumers now saw broadband as a necessity. One bank official said: “Broadband internet access has clearly become a priority for those homes that have it.”
The survey also showed that just over sixty two percent of consumers would not be prepared to give up their satellite or cable television services in order to save money, and just over fifty two percent would not be happy to give up their holidays abroad in order to save money.
