Many fail to realize that they have free WiFi
According to a recent report there are many people who do not realize that they have access to free WiFi and end up using their own download allowance when going online whilst on the move.

Using the Internet whilst on the move has become very common amongst both business and casual users these days, with mobile broadband and internet services, along with a range of devices, making it easier for people to access the Internet whilst on the move.
However, according to a recent report many people are using their own data allowance when they do not need to, as they fail to realize that they have access to free WiFi services as part of their home broadband plan. It is thought that millions of broadband users could be missing out and wasting money as a result of not realising that they have access to free WiFi whilst out and about.
One industry official said: “We estimate that of the thousands of customers looking for broadband deals that we speak to every single week, fewer than one in ten understand that you can get free Wi-Fi access with home broadband packages. Customers are focused on understand the basics of their broadband package when they buy – like speed, download limits and parental control. Very few understand the hidden benefits like free Wi-Fi access”
Customers of BT Total (home) Broadband are able to enjoy free access to over three million WiFi hotspots in various parts of the country and in a variety of public areas. BT said that it had tried to raise awareness amongst consumers about this free access through campaigns that were run last year. However, figures show that nine out of ten broadband users are still not aware that they have free WiFi access as part of their home broadband plan.
