Management buyout of broadband ISP Breathe Networks confirmed

Following a number of issues relating to its email services, the companys buyout by the management was confirmed recently by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) Breathe Networks Group.

It was recently reported that on July 16th 2009 administrators had to be called in to the providers’ ZetNet branded email service, which has since led to a significant amount of disruption for Breathe Networks in the last month.

The broadband supplier had admittedly suffered from what it called a “turbulent past” according to a statement from the managing director of Breathe Networks, Steve Kaye.

He said “The expansion plans of the group were ambitious but that ambition over took what was practical, achievable and reflective of the current economy. The absolute primary objective for us now is to take the business back to basics focus on what were good at, build upon a number of prominent brands in the UK internet industry but mostly repair what has caused our customers challenges in the past.”

As the new management work to ‘consolidate’ the new Breathe Networks service any customers who have had disruption to their broadband services have received an apology from Mr Kaye.

Following a spate of buyouts of other service providers a campaign has been launched by ISP Eclipse, which is seeing the provider offering £50 cashback to any business broadband customers who move across from ISPs Nildram and Pipex.

Many industry experts believe that in the current economic climate there will continue to be buyouts and mergers between a number of ISPs in a desperate attempt to get away from the risk of administration as their profits begin to drop. It is also likely that in the short term many users will regularly face disruptions to their service as many providers work towards integrating the networks and services.
