Malvern businesses will benefit from high speed broadband

According to the local council in Malvern, Worcestershire, businesses in the Malvern area will benefit hugely from increased access to high speed broadband services.

Most businesses are very keen to be able to access high speed broadband services because of the obvious benefits that they will bring. With better broadband speeds businesses will be able to benefit from increased opportunities, greater productivity, better value for money, more exposure, better sales, and much more.

Officials from Malvern Hills District Council in Worcestershire have recently stated that both new and existing businesses in the area would stand to benefit greatly from access to higher speed broadband services. The comments came after communications giant BT stated that thousands of businesses and homes in Malvern would be able to enjoy faster broadband services by the end of 2012.

One official from the council said that having access to faster broadband speeds could even help to bring new businesses into the area, which would be a huge boost to the local economy. He stated: “If someone is coming here they want to be reassured they are going to be able to access decent broadband.”

He also said that faster broadband access would mean that businesses that were already in the area and those that were coming into the area would be able to more easily expand and widen their horizons. He added: “I understand that banks now do actually look at the availability of broadband when they look at agreeing loans to business expansion, so it is part of a picture where people want to see what’s available in an area. Having a good broadband infrastructure is very important for that.”
