London still has many broadband black spots
According to a recent report London is still home to many broadband black spots with those living and working in these black spot areas having to cope with very poor connectivity and broadband services.

Many people might think that the one place in the UK where you were certain to get great broadband services and connectivity would be London, especially with the 2012 Olympic Games coming up and the determinations of the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, to make sure that the city is broadband-ready for the big event.
However, surprisingly it appears that London is still experiencing its fair share of broadband black sports according to recent reports, with many residents and businesses living in the capital said to be lumbered with very poor broadband speeds, connectivity, reliability, and quality.
According to reports broadband speeds in some parts of the capital are only a little better than what we would now consider to be primitive dial up speeds. The data comes from speed tests that were carried out over the past twelve months, with over 150,000 speed test being carried out over this period.
The variations between different areas of London were reflected by a test carried out on how long it took to download the movie The King’s Speech in HD. In some parts of London this took just five minutes, in some other parts it took just under an hour, and in one part of the city it took an astonishing twenty five hours.
Are you in one of the super-slow broadband areas of London?
