JT Global offers broadband trial in Jersey
Before launching broadband services or new packages, most service providers conduct surveys or trials in order to determine if the move would be a wise one. In these trials, a limited number of random users in the area will be given free access to the new service or upgrade to be implemented. These participants will then provide their feedback and comments to the provider at regular intervals.
Because of the Broadband Delivery UK program and increased initiative on the part of providers and companies who want to push for the broadband development of the UK, several services have already been trialed in various areas in the UK. This includes the trial BT Broadband will be conducting in Milton Keynes. The trial will begin on March 5 and will end on June 5.

Another firm that will be conducting a trial is JT Global. The network will be trialing their services in Jersey, where 500 households and establishments will be able to access their fibre broadband services at no cost. The States of Jersey has put in £19 million in investments to fund JT’s fibre optic network. The firm’s services will be made open to the entire island by the year 2016.
The trial is expected to begin on January 3 at La Moye, La Rocque and Fauvic and will run for the course of three months. Customers of all telecom operators in Jersey are welcome to participate in the trial. A JT spokesperson said that the trial was of the network, so JT, Sure, and Newtel will be informing their subscribers in the area about it in writing.
The speeds to be expected during the trial will range from 40Mbps to 1Gbps. The participants of the trial will be expected to provide their feedback, from the installation of the service to their experience while using the service.
Graeme Millar, chief executive of JT, said: “Clearly it takes time to replace the island-wide copper cable network, and we nee to do that in stages to minimise disruption and gain appropriate access to the 42,000 homes. ”

Not sure what I’m supposed to do? Something about a questionaire to trial fiberoptics.
