Interxion chosen as the collocation service provider for The Cloud
Europes largest independent broadband Wi-Fi hotspot provider, The Cloud has recently announced its decision to use the data service provider, Interxion as its key collocation service provider in Europe.
It has recently been announced that Interxion will be used as the collocation service provider in both Stockholm and London for European broadband Wi-Fi hotspot provider The Cloud.
The delivery of collocation facilities with the use of high-density power configurations by the provider of carrier-neutral data centres, which is based in the Netherlands, has been chosen by The Cloud.
Interxion currently has access to more than 500 Internet service providers and carriers as well as providing 5kW per cabinet as standard in the 24 data centres that it has located throughout Europe.
With exchanges like NETNOD in Stockholm and LINX in London, Interxion offers access directly to 15 of the biggest Internet exchanges in Europe.
The managing director of Interxion UK, Greg McCulloch said “Interxion’s infrastructure is designed to support the current and future power and connectivity requirements of ambitious service providers like The Cloud. We have structured our services across Europe to deliver SLA-driven operational resilience, giving fast-growing customers peace of mind as they scale their services to meet demand.”
Many millions of customers are currently served across 12 markets by The Cloud, which is the largest independent provider of Wi-Fi hotspot throughout Europe. The use of Interxion has been designed to show customers of The Cloud that it looking proactively at the ever-increasing use of its services and the understanding of growing bandwidth requirements of its users.
This latest make is certain to keep The Cloud in its current position one of the most innovative Wi-Fi market leaders throughout Europe and is likely to add many more users to its already substantial customer base.
