I Love Broadband rolling out wireless broadband in Wombleton

It’s a huge convenience to be able to browse the Internet and do stuff online–like checking your email, doing some online shopping, streaming some movies or music–without having to be tethered or stuck in just one area. That’s the convenience that wireless broadband brings to hundreds of millions of people all over the world.

It used to be that wireless broadband was more of a perk or added privilege, but many users have gotten so used to the technology that it has become more or less a basic requirement, especially for establishments.

Take for example, the case in rural Wales, where many business owners and hoteliers complained that broadband not-spots in their area were affecting their tourism industry. Because of a lack of decent broadband services, some have had to shell out huge sums of money in order to upgrade their broadband facilities in order to prevent turning off customers. One such hotelier is Andrew Evans, who had to switch to a wireless broadband system in his St. Brides Spa Hotel located in Saundersfoot, explaining: “A lot of corporate clients needed it so I put it in a couple of months ago. The broadband we had was costing me business. I could not afford to mess about – I had to provide a service to my guests.”

That said on the importance of wireless broadband, Wombleton is fortunate that it is the latest rural community that will be rolled out with wireless broadband technology by I Love Broadband. High-speed wireless connections will be provided to residents and establishments in the North Yorkshire village of Wombleton. Users will be able to access speeds of up to 50Mbps through a combination of satellite backhaul, DSL, Ethernet, wireless and fibre optic broadband solutions.

I Love Broadband announced via their Twitter feed that Wombleton is the next location that they have added to their list in the deployment of fast, wireless broadband technology. “High-speed broadband is coming to Wombleton and surrounding areas,” the post read.

I Love Broadband is a subsidiary of LN Communications, which was launched with the goal of providing faster broadband speeds to rural communities and remote areas in the UK with the use of wireless and fibre technology.

The company stated: “Our wireless networking solutions can be installed into your home, place of work, factory, farm, recreational facility or even your entire community. With more and more community networks being completed, we are constantly delivering sustainable broadband networks to more subscribers who find themselves beyond the reach of the current broadband infrastructure.”
