Hundreds being saved by those on bundles

It has been reported that consumers that have broadband bundle deals are continuing to save hundreds of pounds a year compared to those that do not.

There are many people that take broadband out as a standalone service because they do not want or need the other services typically tied in with broadband, such as home phone and TV. However, there are also many people that take broadband as a standalone service and then also take their home phone and TV services as standalone services when in fact they could take all three out as a single bundle deal with one provider and save a lot of money each year.

Recent research has shown that consumers who are using bundle deals for their broadband and related service are continuing to make huge savings compared to many people that use stand alone services. The research, carried out by Simplifydigital, suggested that a massive eighty three percent of consumers were saving money by choosing to bundle their services with one provider.

The top twenty percent of those that were saving money were managing to save a whopping £400 a year by doing this – enough to treat yourself to a nice little holiday in the sun. The top ten percent were said to be saving around £550 a year, which would be a nice little holiday and spending money on top!

An official from the firm said that there were many different deals for consumers to choose from so it was important to research these and find the one that was both suitable and affordable. He said: “Broadband and digital TV providers are falling over themselves to attract new customers with heavy discounts, but the competing deals make for a confusing picture for the consumer.”

Would you consider switching to a bundle given the savings you can make?
