High-speed upstream broadband service launched by UK ISP Pipex
A brand new range of broadband packages have been released by a major UK broadband provider based off ADSL2+ technology that will offer users an improve speed performance in upstream data transfer, which will help to enhance a number of services that rely on both high-speed upload and download performance to achieve the best results.
A range of new business broadband packages have recently been release by Pipex (Tiscali), a UK broadband service provider, to provider users with a much faster speed of connection when transferring data upstream (uploading). Upstream performance of ‘up to’ 2.5Mbps will be promoted by the new services, which are based off ADSL2+, which offers downstream (download) speeds of up to 24Mbps.
The 16Mbps Pipex Pro package will be the entry level package for the services offering the upgraded upstream speeds and the price for this service will be just £19.50 + vat per month. Depending of the service requirement needed the packages will typically include features like guaranteed levels of bandwidth and prioritised traffic with the packages being priced accordingly.
The Product and Marketing Director for Pipex, Lance Spencer said “Download speed alone is not necessarily a critical performance factor for businesses. Small businesses providing professional services such as new media, design, architecture or technology will be liberated by enhanced and assured upstream. In addition businesses wanting the consistency and reliability from their broadband to run multiple and real-time applications such as Voice over IP, conferencing and remote applications will benefit from these new powerful services at a fraction of the cost of traditional BT SDSL services”.
Tiscali’s other Internet Service Provider brands like Nildram have also seen the services rolled out, which should provide most of its customer base the option to upgrade their services to benefit from this latest upgrade to the ISP’s technology.
