According to recent reports a new high speed broadband service is set to be launched at a Hereford business park, which will benefit the various companies that are located in that area.

For many businesses having access to high speed broadband it vital to help with the operations of the company and ensure the smooth day to day running of the firm. Businesses need high speed broadband for many reasons, not least to be able to access advanced applications and technology as well as to benefit from more flexible working, increase business, and ultimately increase revenue.

Some businesses that are located in Hereford could soon be enjoying these benefits as a result of the launch of high speed broadband at a business park in Hereford. The business park is located in the Rotherwas area of Hereford, and the businesses here could soon be able to access advanced applications, boost business, and increase profits as a result of this service.

The high speed service stems from the Rotherwas Futures project run by Herefordshire Council. This is a joint venture with Advantage West Midlands, and a deal has been agreed whereby new broadband services will be installed in the area by Airband Community Internet. The project has cost twenty million pounds, and will enable local businesses in the area to benefit from connection speeds of up to 20Mbps.

A local councillor for the area said that the project would have a profound effect on the area when it came to helping businesses. He said: “This new service is crucial to attracting new businesses and new jobs to Hereford and promotes Rotherwas to the premier league of business parks.”
