Faster broadband campaign launched by MP
It has been reported that Central Ayrshire MP, Brian Donohoe, has launched a campaign to get faster broadband for his constituents having been campaigning for a number of years already.

For many people it has become increasingly important to have faster broadband speeds, as more and more people are using the internet for a greater range of purposes, from networking and browsing to streaming data and online gaming. However, not everyone has access to adequate broadband speeds to do all the things that they want or need to do, and this is something that one MP is hoping to address.
It has been reported that Central Ayrshire MP, Brian Donohoe, has launched a campaign to get faster broadband for his constituents having been campaigning for a number of years already. Apparently he received a round robin letter that had been sent by the culture secretary, Jeremy Hunt, in relation to funding for broadband projects.
The MP said: “The letter from Jeremy Hunt was in conjunction with an announcement of the locations of further broadband projects in England. He stated his intentions were to announce the allocation for every English local authority and the devolved administrations. This is where my interest peaks as the letter was not specific enough, only stating that allocations will be made available once the department has reached agreement with them on other sources of funds and their plans for delivery.”
He said that he was planning to campaign to get better broadband for his area, adding: “I also intend to lay down some questions to Jeremy Hunt asking him to be more specific on the issue of allocations and how it will be handled in Scotland.”
