According to a recent report the digital economy in Great Britain is thriving thanks to services such as fixed and mobile broadband, and will enjoyed continued improvement as technology in the broadband sector becomes more advanced.

Broadband is something that many people now use on a daily basis, and many of us could not imagine life without access to the Internet these days. Many people use the Internet and their broadband services both for work and for leisure, and rather than being the luxury that it once was broadband these days is considered to be more of a vital utility by many homes and businesses.

This is why broadband services have become so popular across the UK, and why take up of this technology has soared over recent years, as more and more consumers and businesses have realised the benefits of having access to broadband services. One recent report has said that thanks to broadband services the digital economy in Great Britain is thriving.

Melina Jacovou, managing director of the Propel London recruitment agency, said that the increasingly pivotal role that broadband now plays in the business and personal lives of people has enabled the digital economy to boom, and that areas such as social networking, video communications, and many other areas are set to enjoy huge growth as technology becomes more advanced in the broadband sector.

With the industry hoping to be able to rollout 4G broadband over the next few years the digital economy could enjoy an even greater boost, as this advanced technology will provide users with greater flexibility, greater reliability, and far more capacity when it comes to mobile broadband access.
