It has been announced that customers of the Internet Service Provider , Zen, are to receive faster broadband speeds this summer, and it won’t cost them a penny.

Being able to achieve faster download and upload speeds is something that most broadband customers want, and for customers of the Internet Service Provider Zen there has been some good news. Officials from Zen have announced the launch of a faster broadband service from this summer, and the best thing is that customers will not have to pay a penny extra in order to benefit from the faster speeds.

As part of the new faster broadband service from Zen, customers will be able to enjoy download speeds of up to 20Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1Mbps. Both residential and business customers that are already with Zen will be moved over to the new, faster service over the course of the summer. Zen is assuring customers that the product that they are changed to will be like for like, which means that the basic product and price will remain the same, and the only difference will be faster speeds.

Andrew Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing at Zen, stated: ‘We have been working on this upgrade since late 2008. The final phase of tests and trials for these new faster services is due for completion this summer. We therefore fully expect to start moving existing customers over from late summer onwards and this will be done at no extra cost.’

He added: ‘Zen has always had a very clear proposition around our services. We are retaining our current monthly contracts and just want customers to enjoy the benefits of our new faster services at any time of the day, with no gimmicks or restrictions hidden in a fair use policy.’
