Look who’s taking all the flak! Customers seem to be not so happy with TalkTalk and the number of complaints that have been made against the group tells a grim tale. The landline and fixed broadband services offered by the TalkTalk group has been indeed in the line of fire – that is what the complaint stats reveal. According to Ofcom, the TalkTalk group is the most complained about company in the industry during the last quarter.

Data recorded between July and September 2011 shows that the TalkTalk Group was complained against. A closer look would reveal that 0.77 complaints had come in per 1000 landline customers, and most of the flak stemmed from issues relating to billing and customer service issues.

On that terrain, Virgin Media received the least number of complaints over the same period for the fourth quarter, with 0.19 complaints per 1000 customers.

When it comes to fixed broadband services, TalkTalk has been seen as have generated the maximum number of complaints. Considering the proportion of their customer base, the group attracted 0.55 complaints per 1000 customers. The main issues related to faulty lines and a not-so-good service.

Meanwhile, Sky and Virgin Media, with 0.19 complaints per 1000 customers, were the players who had the least complaints against them.

During the period between July and September 2011, overall mobile complaint levels recorded happened to be much lower than for landline and fixed broadband services.

However, 3UK received 0.14 complaints per 1000 customers on that front. Customer ire against 3UK related to disputed charges and customer service issues.

Further, Virgin Mobile had to put up with a rise in complaints over the last quarter for similar problems.

Now, if you would want to know who was largely unaffected, with the least number of complaints over the same period, it was O2. Stats reveal just 0.02 complaints per 1000 customers.
