Changes in behaviour caused by broadband and other technologies

According to a recent report the behaviour of both men and women has been changed by technology such as broadband as well as other types of technology.

A study was recently carried out into trends in the use of devices and online behaviour amongst men and women in the UK. The study was carried out by the UK’s communications regulator Ofcom and has been looking at the online behavioural habits of men and women in the UK as well as their use of various other devices.

The regulator claims that the availability of technologies such as broadband, mobile phones, and laptop computers has changed the way in which many men and women behave. The report found that women tend to use the Internet and mobile phones differently to the way that these services and devices are used by men.

When it came to the use of the Internet the study found that women were more likely to use this service for purposes such as socialising, keeping in touch with family and friends, and looking for bargains when it came to looking for products and services. Men, on the other hand, were found to be using the internet chiefly for reading up on news and sport, downloading images, music, and movies, and for entertainment purposes.

When it came to mobile phones the study found that women were more likely to use their mobile phones to keep in touch with friends and family via texting, calling, and sending picture messages. Men, on the other hand, were found to be more likely to have a smart phone that allowed them to do more than just a standard mobile phone.
