Residents from the village of Treuddyn in Wales are being urged to attend a meeting about broadband services later this month, which would be attended by Internet Service Provider Carrier Wales.

Residents that live in the village of Treuddyn in Wales are being urged to attend a meeting later this month, which would also be attended by Internet Service Provider Carrier Wales. The purpose of the meeting is to tackle the ongoing issues about broadband and internet black spots with the provider, and the meeting is set to take place on 15th September at the village hall.

Organizers want to discuss a number of issues at the meeting, ranging from existing poor broadband access to the introduction of high speed wireless broadband in the area. Plans to bring high speed wireless broadband to the area would include beaming the service from County Hall, Mold, and Carrier Wales may deem the plans worthwhile if enough people attend the meeting.

One local resident called for others to attend the meeting, stating: “We are striving to bring wireless internet to those people who receive no broadband and to provide an alternative to existing services. We are in an age where the internet is fast becoming a major delivery channel for the commercial, social and educational aspects of our lives.”

Local councillor, Carolyn Thomas, added: “There are many residents who have poor or no broadband, including our MP Mark Tami. Poor broadband can be infuriating for people trying to work from home whether it’s adults trying to run a business or children researching subjects for homework.”
