Broadband Traffic Management Global Congress Award Goes to Sandvine
The Broadband Traffic Management Awards, which celebrate and recognize quality, innovation and leadership made in the traffic management industry, has honored Sandvine, a leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions, for their prestigious Usage Management Product.

At a cocktail reception on the first evening of the Broadband Traffic Management Global Congress, a judging panel comprising ABI, Analysis Mason, Heavy Reading, Informa, Ovum and the Yankee Group, announced the award winner. Dave Caputo, the CEO of Sandvine, who accepted the award, said:
“Sandvine has been a major innovator of intelligent broadband solutions since the industry began. We strive to offer service providers award-winning tools for network business intelligence and data insight; traffic management solutions that both optimize network resources and the subscriber experience; and lastly, provide the opportunity for providers to implement service creation programs. It is truly an honor to be recognized for this work by such an esteemed panel of major industry analyst judges.”
Sandvine’s Usage Management product, recognized as Best Implementation of Tiered Data Pricing, allows subscribers to choose from application based plans including unlimited email, chat, social networking, and real-time entertainment.
These plans, which offer cost certainty over variable price consumption-based model, are popular plans among the subscribers. This Usage Management product was also implemented by a number of mobile properties within the Telefónica group for its innovative tiered pricing data plan.
In addition, Sandvine’s Fairshare Traffic Management product was also recognized. They were also short-listed in the category of Best Integration of Traffic Management into OSS/BSS Architecture.
