Broadband speeds being used by estate agents to sell homes
According to recent reports many estate agents in the UK are now using broadband speed access as one of the things to try and sell homes that are on the market.

For many people these days broadband speeds are hugely important, with many people using their broadband services for a variety of reasons. Some people need high speed broadband because they enjoy streaming content and playing online games using their service. Some people need their broadband service to work and therefore look for a speedy and reliable service.
It is now claimed that many estate agents are using broadband access, speed, and quality to try and sell homes in what has become a very challenging and difficult market. Many people now tend to look at broadband access as one of the major factors of deciding whether to buy a particular home or move to a particular area.
Leading Internet property site Rightmove is set to enter into a partnership with communications giant BT to provide broadband speed details on over a million properties listed for sale on the site. An official from Rightmove said: “Broadband is becoming one of the most, if not the most, important considerations for prospective buyers. Many people fall in love with a home only to find out it can only get really slow internet. By listing broadband speed with all the other property details buyers will be able to weed out homes that don’t have high-speed access.”
Another Rightmove official said: “As a leading UK website services like superfast broadband obviously interest us and we have recently looked into how it can benefit us, although we are not currently in any form of partnership with BT.”

I think that this is a good idea, as an online estate agent i’ve always felt that show casing broadband speeds can offer a USP for any property.
