Broadband providers join the January sales

An industry official has stated that many broadband providers have joined in the January sales mentality by offering cheaper broadband to entice consumers.

We have all seen the huge sales that many retailers have been putting on, not only in the run up to Christmas but also for the January sales, which is the traditional time for people to browse the shops and pick up bargains galore. Both High Street and online retailers have been slashing prices in order to get customers to buy in what has become a very challenging environment.

According to one industry expert it is not just retailers that are selling goods that are slashing prices at the moment, and with many different sectors of the sales and service industry also suffering because of the current financial climate, many service providers have also started to cut prices recently, including some Internet Service providers.

The industry official said that many ISPs had joined in with the January sales by offering a range of broadband packages and services at low prices. He said: “The UK’s biggest providers are falling over themselves to entice customers to sign up to their digital TV, broadband, and home phone services as they enter the January sales spirit with a vengeance.”

Whilst some providers are cutting the cost of their packages in order to get customers to sign up others are offering free periods of service. Either way consumers can enjoy saving a small fortune on the cost of their broadband and bundle services without having to compromise on quality. Amongst the providers joining in with the sales spirit are Sky and O2. Officials have said that the deals on offer are making this a good time for consumers to sign up for broadband or bundle services, from basic services to more comprehensive packages.
