Brits prefer online communication to face to face interaction
In this world if technological advancement more and more people have become accustomed to communicating online and now there are many people that actually prefer to interact with their own family online rather than face to face.
The Internet and the availability of broadband has revolutionized the way that we communicate, and these days it is possible to speak to someone at the other end of the world with just the click of a button using facilities such as MSN or email. When we want to contact businesses or ask about services we can communicate with the business or provider online, and we can even stay in touch with friends online, which is something that millions of people now do.
However, it seems that some of us may be taking things a little too far after a recent report revealed that many Brits actually prefer to communicate with their own family online via their PC or mobile phone rather than interacting with the family face to face. One third of Brits are said to prefer such methods of communicating with family, with many stating that Twitter and Facebook were their favourite communication tools.
Twenty percent of respondents said that they used social networking sites to keep track of their family, and another thirty percent said that they thought that sites such as Facebook had enabled their relatives to learn more about their lives than they otherwise would have. The average Brit is now said to engage in just six face to face conversations with family members each week.
The survey involved polling three thousand respondents, and shockingly ten percent said that they never had any meaningful or important conversations with their family members.
