One of the longest running and most recognised awards in the Mac industry been given to a Bodmin-based broadband service provider, naming it the Best ISP during its recent award ceremony.

The recent annual Mac awards, which has now been running for 14 years and is considered by the UK Mac industry as one of the most recognised awards, named MacAce.net, a specialist Internet Service Provider based in Bodmin, the Best ISP.

The awards ceremony saw some of the internet industry’s largest providers including Virgin Media, Sky Broadband, Zen, O2 and TalkTalk all fighting for the coveted prize and all were beaten to the award by MacAce, the Internet Service Provider specialising in providing Mac users with a range of internet services.

The CEO for MacAce, Gary Hall said “I’m delighted that our hard work in the quality of our customer experience in areas such as technical support, speed and reliability has been rewarded with such prestigious recognition.
As it’s voted for by the readers, this shows how highly our internet services are valued by our customers. I would like to thank my staff for their unfailing efforts and all who voted. It’s also testament to what a local Cornish company can achieve against the some of the largest companies in the country.”

With the popularity of Mac in the UK often being overshadowed by the mainstream PC market, this latest award being given to an Internet Service provider that caters for the Mac community is a huge acknowledgement of the advances that Mac is now making in the UK marketplace.

This award has also signalled the fact that in an industry that is hugely competitive a provider does not necessarily need to be the biggest to be considered the best, and just offering customers the best quality of service and support is often all that is required.
