One of the most popular gaming broadband providers in the UK has announced recently that it has joined up with an interactive design agency to create its own First Person Shooter (FPS) to promote its gamer friendly broadband services to consumers interested in online game players.

In order to promote its broadband services to the gaming community, the fastest supplier of ADSL in the UK, Be Broadband has developed a new First Person Shooter (FPS) game.

The new FPS game known as “Unreal Call of Brothers 5: The Road to Broadband Heaven” is simply a tongue in cheek reference to a number of first person shooter games that are currently quite popular in the gaming community, and its creation is a joint effort between the interactive design agency ‘MagneticNorth’ and the broadband ISP.

The aim of the game is to destroy 3 enemy locations with the players taking on the role of an elite team that are genetically different. Entry into Broadband Heaven is allowed once the players have destroyed all these locations.

In order to increase their connection speed players need to shoot Be Ping Power-Ups whilst trying to avoid broadband lag along the way. Bonuses are gained and points are earned when players manage to shoot an enemy, which eventually allows access into Broadband Heaven with the help of these points.

The hope is that this game will help to further improve its sales of broadband, although for many gamers Be broadband is already a popular choice of ISP.

It is intended to help users pass the time, whilst have a little fun avoiding broadband lag and shooting the bad guys but is not intended to be too complicated or serious.

3 months worth of free broadband access on their 24Mbps Pro and Unlimited packages, which offer speeds of up to 24Mbps are currently being offered by Be Broadband.
