Broadband customer growth for BE and O2
It has been reported that BE and O2 have recorded an increase in broadband customer numbers of the past year, with a six percent increase year on year.

Recently communications giant BT announced its financial results, showing that it had managed to increase its profits considerably by taking on new broadband customers, which had helped to bolster its revenues despite the decline in landline services. Now another two communications giants have also revealed that they have also seen their broadband customer numbers grow.
BE and O2 have recently revealed that they have increased their broadband customer numbers over the past twelve months, with a six percent increase in broadband customers year on year. The figures were released by the parent company of the two companies, Telefonica.
O2 is also said to have seen its mobile customer base grow with the number of subscribers hitting 22.3 million , which was an increase of four percent compared to the same period in 2010. There was a nine percent increase in pay monthly contracts compared to the same time last year and almost fifty percent of its broadband and phone users were signed up to contracts.
Many mobile broadband companies who are seeing their customer bases and revenues increase already will see even more growth when 4G is widely rolled out, as this will mean that they more and more people are likely to sign up to the service because of the faster speeds and better quality broadband that is available with 4G.
