44Mbps bonded Internet service to be launched by broadband provider
It has been announced that a 44Mbps bonded Internet service is to be launched by the popular broadband internet provider BE Broadband.
Higher speed Internet is becoming increasingly important amongst both personal and business broadband users, and many consider speed to be one of the top priorities when deciding on which broadband service provider they should opt for. It has now been announced that one broadband service provider is ready to launch a bonded 44Mbps internet service, which will enable consumers to enjoy the higher speeds that they have started to demand.
The popular broadband provider BE Broadband has stated that its long awaited bonded 44Mbps Internet service is at last ready to be launched, and according to reports it will have taken about a year and a half of trials and testing by the time the service is launched.
The service is known as a bonded service because the 44Mbps speeds are achieved by bonding two 24Mbps ADSL2+ unbundled broadband lines in order to achieve the faster speed. It is claimed that the service will also enable consumers to enjoy faster upload speeds of up to around 5Mbps. According to reports customers that have BE Broadband’s Pro package will be offered the service in small groups over the coming month.
The broadband provider is said to have started closed trials into the bonded broadband service in September of 2008. It is thought that the cost of the service will be between fifty and fifty five pounds a month. It is also thought that the speeds could eventually be increased to around 48Mbps for this bonded service.
