The Dealer channel is the next place for 3
An announcement was made by 3 this month at an annual sales event that it will be introducing a VIP dealer club, a 3 Seller Growth plan, and a new wireless router.
The D100 Wi-Fi router is set for release in the early part of next month and will allow users to plug as many as three devices to the internet. It connects through any Huawei mobile broadband dongle. Thanks to this dongle households will be fully able to access the internet without the need for a fixed line. At the moment though there are no set prices for this offer.
The latest updates were given to dealers by Bernie O’Beirne, the director of indirect sales at 3 of the 3 seller growth plan and the new VIP club. O’Beirne also advised dealers that he was looking for them to contribute in the networks aim over the next five years to double its business and said that in an effort to talk about a mutual strategy for growth in the business the representatives of 3 would be “knocking on doors.”
“In the coming weeks we will be talking to our dealers to find out how we as a network can help them do more business with 3. We’ll be using this information to provide dealers with an agreed growth plan, to provide them with the relevant tools to grow their businesses,” said O’Beirne. He added “Some of our partners are still missing out on the opportunities in mobile broadband and that’s a major part of how we are growing the business. We’ll be looking closely at how we can fix that.”
The top 30 direct dealers, distributors, and distance sellers will gain access to the 3VIP club when it launches on October 30th with the club being a replacement to the old ‘Q Club’ for elite dealers. The selection process for members will be based on their ability to sell business offers and mobile broadband and also requires both quality and volume sales. The benefits of the club include making key business contacts, specialist training, and VIP access to the Living Room bar and restaurant.
The business to business offers from 3 were also boosted with unlimited mobile email for free. Small businesses can now use work email or web based Gmail, Yahoo, and similar sites to send and receive mail courtesy of ‘Email on 3’ which has been added the Internet Max package allowing unlimited mail usage. Renato Bottini. Head of 3 Business said: “This is another example of how high-speed mobile internet can provide real benefits to small businesses.”
