Some weeks ago mobile communications giant 3 announced that it would be launching mobile WiFi packages known as MiFi, and these packages have now been launched.

For many consumers in the UK being able to get online whilst out and about has become increasingly important, particularly in terms of business, and this is why mobile broadband has quickly become popular amongst consumers in the UK. In order to help meet this demand for broadband access whilst out and about the mobile communications giant 3 recently announced the launch of mobile WiFi packages known as MiFi.

The MiFi packages that were announced by 3 have now gone live according to a recent report, which means that consumers will be able to benefit from mobile wireless broadband access for a range of different devices. Consumers will be able to use these various devices with the mobile wireless broadband without the need to use a USB dongle, which is required with regular mobile broadband.

An official from 3 stated: “Mobile wifi sends out a signal so you can connect to the internet without needing any wires. This means you can connect different devices at once. So while you’re checking emails on your laptop, you can download tracks and apps on your iPod touch.”

Another industry official said that whilst the service offered ease and convenience consumers needed to make sure that they didn’t go over their download limits with this service. He said: “Mobile wifi is going to be the next big thing in the world of portable internet, taking mobile broadband to the next level. However, customers need to be really careful with their download allowances as it will be even easier to go over your limit if you’re sharing your connection between multiple devices.”
