The mobile communications giant and mobile broadband provider 3 has recently launched its offer of advertising on its mobile broadband dashboard, and the first brand name to sign up to this service is Yell.com.

The world of advertising has changed a great deal over the past decade, and whilst television, radio, and print advertising were once the only options for companies that wanted to promote their products and services the Internet has now opened many doors for those that want to advertise to target markets whilst avoiding bank breaking costs.

With mobile broadband now soaring in popularity it is only natural that this is the next step when it comes to advertising platforms, and one mobile broadband provider, 3, is now offering an advertising service on its mobile broadband dashboard, which is what users see when they log onto their mobile broadband internet.

Companies that sign up to the service will benefit from the rising number of mobile broadband users seeing their ads as they sign into the mobile broadband screen, and it is likely that this method of advertising will increase in popularity in the UK as it has already enjoyed huge success in places such as Austria.

One major brand has already signed up to the 3 advertising service, and this is Yell.com. The advertising services will also benefit consumers as it will help to add some colour and life to the mobile broadband dashboard. For companies it is likely to prove a cost effective method of promoting services to target audiences. The provider 3 recently released a press release promoting the advertising opportunity and describing it as a “unique inventory opportunity”.
